My Director just did automatic updates! Woo-hoo! But what did you change?

Files-HelpOne of the coolest things about the Director is its ability to automatically update itself when a new version is released.

The director has a changelog built into it, you can view it by clicking Help > Changelog at the top of The Director, or by double clicking on the version number displayed in The Director.

The Director now has the concept of beta testing.  You can participate in testing new features by choosing to participate in betas on the File menu.  With beta versions, the last number in the version will be odd numbered while general releases will be even numbered.

CHANGELOG:

YAEB Director is written in AutoHotkey which is a freely available scripting language with a utility to convert the script to an exe. It's Windows-only. You can find AutoHotkey at http://www.autohotkey.com/.  YAEB Director is written under an Open Source license, the source code is freely available to all to inspect or even contribute and make changes.

The source is here: https://bitbucket.org/SumRandomGuy/yaebdirector

Want to help with development? That's VERY MUCH encouraged! If you make any improvements, please submit them back to me, SRG, via skype or the YAEB forums so I can consider adding them to the main. Not a developer but have a suggestion? Leave a comment below.

Hi! Sorry to hear about your challenges. The Director doesn't actually impact your goals at all. The bot stores that itself. The only way the Director can contribute to your goals appearing to be missing are if the email address or server change. If the email address and server are the same, there is something else going on with the goals and the Director's upgrade was an unfortunate coincidence.

There is hope, though. As you noted the Director does a backup of all of your goals so you can likely get it back.

The first thing I'd do to troubleshoot is to confirm you have enough storage allocated to the bots. Right-click on one of the bots and choose settings. In there, you will find storage. Set that to unlimited. 99% of the time when people report their goals are "missing" it's because the bot didn't have enough storage allocated in the Flash settings. (the other 1% is because they changed their email or server)

Once you get that confirmed, try doing a restore in the Director. If you have a backup from BEFORE your goals/map info/npchits/etc grew too big, you're all set.

For those of us that are using Director to manage many, many accounts, it would be useful if in the “edit schedule” Just one actual time could be entered & set to restart every x hours after the initial time.

    Great tool btw

If you have anything to do with the development of the bots themselves.
Please, please “Auto Script Start” (or ASS for short) after starting or reloading the bot would be fantastic.

    Thanks

I updated to the 1.1.0.8b version of the director the other day, as soon as I did that update it cleared all the memories it showed in the director. I have it set up to restart the bots (all but my mains) at a specific memory level, but now i cant see what any of them are at. Any idea of how I can fix this?

    Thank you

I can't get the director to restart the bots at all....not with the memory usage feature or even the timing feature...am I missing something?
